The weather has deteriorated here in Aywaille today. It’s raining. I have to get to the south faster. That’s why I want to be in Reims tonight and stay there for two days. It’s a famous pilgrim city after all (https://www.cathedrale-reims.com/). To my horror I discovered that the only available train ride was from Aywaille via Liège, Brussels and Paris to Reims.
While browsing on Google trying to find a better connection I noticed an advertisement for “BlaBlaCar”. At first I thought it was a joke. Now I’m sitting in a car with two young ladies because of the BlaBlaCar App enjoying a ride to Reims for 19 €. A great alternative to a six-hour 120 € train ride with four changes.
